Single Seater Hand Carving Sofa Reupholstery at The Mines Residence

Single seater sofa reupholstery is a smart way to restore a luxury armchair when the frame is still beautiful, but the fabric no longer matches the home style. For this project, the customer at The Mines Residence owned a European single seater hand carving sofa. The sofa was bought from Europe and came with a golden colour carved frame and dark velvet fabric.

European Hand Carving Single Seater Sofa

This European single seater sofa has a very grand and royal appearance. It features a high backrest, curved arms, thick seat cushion, and detailed hand carvings around the frame. The golden colour frame gives the sofa a luxury palace-style look. In addition, the original dark velvet fabric made the chair look bold and dramatic. However, the customer wanted a softer and brighter appearance. Therefore, the sofa was changed to floral fabric while keeping the original carved frame.

Why the Customer Chose Reupholstery

The sofa frame was still strong and valuable. Also, the hand carving details were still beautiful. Because of that, replacing the whole chair was not necessary. Instead, single seater sofa reupholstery was the better choice.

A similar European carved armchair can be expensive today. Moreover, this type of sofa is not easy to find. It has a special design and personal value. Therefore, restoring the existing chair helped the customer save cost and keep the original luxury character.

Changing Dark Velvet Fabric to Floral Fabric

The original dark velvet fabric gave the sofa a heavy look. However, the customer preferred a softer and more elegant style. So, Mr Sofa helped change the upholstery to a floral fabric design.

Floral fabric is suitable for European furniture. It matches the carved frame, curved arms, and classic high backrest. Besides that, the floral pattern gives the chair a brighter and more graceful look. As a result, the sofa now feels more suitable for a luxury home interior.

Maintaining the Golden Carved Frame

The golden frame is the main highlight of this sofa. Therefore, Mr Sofa carefully handled the chair during the reupholstery process. The aim was to protect the hand carving details and maintain the original shape.

The carved frame gives the sofa a premium European style. It also makes the chair suitable as a statement piece in a living room, lounge area, or private corner.

Comfort and Appearance Upgrade

During the single seater sofa reupholstery process, the old fabric was removed carefully. Then, the new floral fabric was installed neatly. This helped the sofa look cleaner, fresher, and more refined.

In addition, the seat cushion and backrest shape were maintained. This was important because the sofa has a formal European design. A wrong cushion shape could affect the final appearance.

Luxury Sofa Restoration by Mr Sofa

Mr Sofa provides sofa restoration for customers who want to keep valuable furniture. Many imported European sofas have strong frames and unique designs. However, the fabric may become old, faded, dusty, or unsuitable over time.

Therefore, reupholstery is a practical solution. It helps refresh the look, improve comfort, and extend the life of the sofa. More importantly, it keeps the original design that makes the furniture special.
