These armchairs have a strong classic character. The design is similar to the Moran Romsey chair style, which features a high wingback shape, deep diamond buttoning, hand-studded edges, curved arms, and elegant turned timber legs. As a result, the chairs look luxurious, traditional, and timeless.

Why the Customer Chose Reupholstery Again

This repeat customer already trusted Mr Sofa after we restored his 3-seater Chesterfield sofa. Therefore, he decided to restore these two matching armchairs as well. The frames were still in good condition. However, the leather cover had become dry and cracked after many years of use.

In addition, some leather areas had started to break. The seat cushions also felt soft and sagging. Even so, the chairs still had good structure and valuable design. Therefore, Chesterfield armchair reupholstery was a better choice than replacing them.

The customer wanted the armchairs to match the previous look. Because of that, Mr Sofa used a similar green colour and the same type of leather finish, known as vintage oil wax leather. This leather gives the chairs a rich, classic, and natural appearance.

The customer wanted the restored chairs to look close to the original design. Therefore, we carefully followed the existing button pattern, arm shape, piping, nailhead detail, and backrest style.

Besides that, the leather colour was selected to match the previous green tone. As a result, the restored armchairs look fresh while still keeping their old-world charm.
